Covenant Community Church

CCC has the opportunity to become the hands and feet for a young couple from Texas who is currently residing in Scottsdale after just giving birth to QUINTUPLETS!! Stephen and Ellen Howell are involved with a PCA church in Katy, Texas and have relocated to the valley for the health and delivery of both mother and babies in March. Their FIVE children were born on Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix and are doing relatively well. Once they are released from the hospital, most likely one at a time, they will be living in a home in north Scottsdale until September when everyone will be healthy enough to travel home to Texas. We will be collecting diapers for this family as well as providing meals and serving in other ways as they request. Please consider donating a package of Pampers Swaddlers Diapers (newborn size) and we can be an extension of their home church while they are away. We would like to supply almost all of their diapering needs until they return home...and that is a lot of diapers!! There is a collection area in the foyer and if you have any questions or want to serve in other ways, please email Tracy Carson or call her at 480-251-5135. Thank you!!!

Covenant Community Church started in late 1999 as a church plant of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Billy Barnes and his family relocated from Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama to start a new church in Scottsdale. After two years of steady growth, Covenant Community Church became a "particularized" official church in the PCA in November, 2002 when elders were elected by the congregation and Billy Barnes was installed as the pastor. In May 2003, deacons were installed.
